Chee Ricketts
Welcome to my online teaching studio!
Learn watercolor techniques from the comfort of your own home. Small classes. Ample opportunities to practice and grow as a painter.
I have been teaching art for most of my adult life, working with students of all ages. Currently, my focus is working with adults who have decided to renew their watercolor skills or who wish to explore watercolor for the first time.
Unfortunately, I have had to PAUSE my teaching on Zoom due to erratic internet connectivity. Stay tuned for future class opportunities!

What people say
A former college professor writes: Chee was right beside us, encouraging, explaining, and praising us for what we were doing or if we weren’t successful, immediately explaining what we needed to change.
Her teaching skills are evident immediately. She is organized and knows the power of a well-executed demonstration. Her handouts are clear, specific and detailed.
I know it was because she established the quintessential classroom climate students need in order to learn and she is a master at teaching adults, possibly from the years of teaching teenagers years ago.

Absolutely the best! She was knowledgeable, passing along great information; was organized, giving all of us the best use of our time; and gave thoughtful, kind and meaningful feedback to all. Not to mention, she made the class so much fun.
sI’m so appreciative of your class. I got some things straight that I never did with any other teacher. I really liked that you gave us actual assignments and a “classroom” (classzoom?) exercise. In short this is the first class I’ve had with a “real” teacher (not disparaging others- but you are the genuine article!)
